Our school has a duty to make sure that the uniform we require is affordable, in line with statutory guidance from the Department for Education (DfE) on the cost of school uniforms.

We understand that items with distinctive characteristics (such as branded items, or items that need to have a school logo attached or be in a unique fabric or style) cannot be purchased from a wide range of retailers, and that requiring many such items limits parents/carers’ ability to shop around for the best price.   

We also understand the need for adapted uniform items for our students. 

Although we offer some branded items of uniform from our school uniform supplier, School Bells (www.schoolbellsuniforms.co.uk), these branded items are not compulsory and alternative unbranded items can be purchased from other suppliers, high street retailers and supermarkets.

Our school uniform consists of:

• Navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan
• Navy blue fleece
• Light blue polo shirt
• Navy skirt, trousers or tracksuit bottoms
• Book bag

Additional items:

• Waterproof coat/jacket
• Waterproof poncho for wheelchair users
• Winter woollen hat & gloves
• Sun hat
• Sunglasses
• Water bottle
• Backpack
• Blue and white school dress

PE Kit:

• T-shirt (white or navy)
• Shorts (navy blue or black)
• Jogging trousers (navy blue or black)
• Trainers or plimsolls (if appropriate)
• PE bag

Swimming Kit:

• Swimwear
• Very light T-shirt
• Swimming hat (as appropriate)
• Towel
• Swimming bag

All items must be labelled with the student’s name.   

We recommend you include spare clothing.
